Of the numerous times I've been to Sky Ride, I have never been disappointed. From seeing Carl (the owner) as I walk in, to the friendly greeting by Anna behind the bar, this is easily one of my favorite Chicago spots.

My single favorite spot downtown! Cash only, limited drink options but cheap and amazing. Karl the owner is great, Ana the bartender as well. They sell cheap tall boys for the train too. Nothing I mean nothing will beat these prices downtown

It almost feels like going back in time. In the midst of high rises,this is an old school bar perfect to chill after a hard says worth.

Best dive bar in the city!! Great atmosphere, even better people (both behind and in front of the bar), a cooler full of road beers ready to take on the train, and the only place I know of downtown where you can still get a beer for under $5. They also show Jeopardy every day, with most of the bar patrons usually playing along. Could not recommend any higher.

Every time I visit Chicago I hit the Sky Ride because it is the king of dive bars. It’s more like drinking in a buddies’ basement than a bar and that’s a compliment. Friendly staff and a great place to sit, talk, and drink.
